Adrian Diaconu was supposed to defend his title on April 10th in Italy but the event was canceled. The "Shark" is in excellent shape, he needs to be active and 2009 will be an exciting year for him. Interbox also wished to keep him active and decided to add him on the April 4th event. Next Saturday evening, "The Shark" will lace up the gloves against quebecer journeyman David Whittom (10-7-1 6 KO).

 

Since his famous and spectaculor KO vs Rico Hoye on May 9 2007 at Mel's Studio, Adrian Diaconu hasn't boxing in Montreal. His last fight goes back to April 19th 2008 in Romania. It had become the WBC Light Heavyweight interim champion with a victory against Chris Henry. "I am very happy to reconnect with the boxing fans in Montreal. It's been too long that I had not experienced the great atmosphere at the Bell Center, "said Adrian Diaconu.

 

Sebastien Gauthier won't be in action on April 4th to allow the "Shark" to take part in the international boxing event.
