Four Top 10 rated boxers
Montreal, Tuesday February 24th 2009 – It is with much anticipation and excitement that InterBox unveils its undercard for its upcoming Boxing Gala entitled Superstition, scheduled for Friday, March 13th at the Montreal Bell Centre. A busy night of fights is on order as 5 undercard bouts will be presented before the Main Event, which will showcase IBF Super Middleweight champion Lucian Bute (23-0-0, 18 KO and rated #1 by Boxrec) who will put his World title on the line against Hard hitting Colombian Fulgencio Zuniga (22-3-1, 19 KO). This Event will be featured on PPV across Quebec and Canada (Bell, Indigo and Shaw), and the Main Event will be broadcast live on the popular Showtime Network in America as part of its ShoBox: The New Generation Boxing Series. In the Main Supporting bout, WBC Continental of Americas Middleweight champion Renan St-Juste (19-1-1, 12 KO) will defend his title and try to add the NABA Middleweight title to his impressive resume over respected Argentinean A-series boxer Roberto Hernan Reuque (30-2-0, 19 KO). Renan, who is promoted by InterBox and rated #9 by the WBC and #12 by the WBA, will have his work cut out for him against Reuque, who has experience fighting and winning such titles and will be looking to rebound from a rare loss in his last outing.NABA and WBC Continental of Americas 140-pound champion (WBC #5, WBA #9, IBF #12) JoJo Dan (23-0-0, 13 KO) will return to the Bell Centre ring after disputing his last 3 fights in Romania. Dan will lace up the gloves against Mexican journeyman CesarSoriano (19-22-0, 13 KO) in an 8 round “stay busy” fight, as he eagerly awaits his World title or Elimination bout opportunity sometime later this year. The always spectacular Sebastien Gauthier (15-1-0, 11 KO) will also be featured on the Bell Centre card. Gauthier won his last two fights by knockout, and will be looking for number three against Jorge Andres Cardenas (11-6-4, 7 KO). Quebec City boxers Pier-
Olivier Cote and Eric Martel are set to keep their unbeaten records unblemished. Pier-Olivier will go for win number 5, but in his way will be Jesus Antonio Gutierrez (5-2-1, 2 KO) and Eric Martel will look for his 2nd win when he enters the Bell Centre ring against pro debut boxer Igor Konnov.
