AUGUSTA, GA (February 26, 2010) Sensational junior lightweight prospect Pier Olivier Cote of Charlesbourg, Quebec, Canada will make his US debut this Saturday night at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta, GA as part of TKO Boxing Championship Fight Night.

The 25 year old Cote, sporting a record of 9-0-0 (6KO’s) will battle Coon Rapids, Minnesota veteran Willshaun Boxley, 5-4-0 (3KO’s), who has never been stopped inside the distance, in a scheduled six round bout. Cote is signed to Canada’s highly regarded promotional outfit InterBox.

Following an outstanding amateur career that compiled a record of 65 wins and ten losses with numerous Canadian titles, Cote has quickly become a fast rising prospect since turning professional two years ago.

Fighting nine times over a two year period, Cote most recently won a ten round unanimous decision on November 28th over Jason Hayward in Quebec City, earning Canada’s Junior Lightweight Title. Prior to the title bout, the heavy handed Cote had won four in a row by knockout.

“We are very excited about Pier-Olivier’s debut in America, and equally so with our newly founded affiliation with Chet Koerner and his outstanding team at TKO Boxing Promotions.  We certainly hope this will be the start of a long and mutually beneficial association between our two companies” states Jean Bedard, President of InterBox.

Quebec boxing fans can catch his fight live in exclusivity at any of the province’s Cage-aux-Sports restaurants.

Also featured on the undercard at TKO Boxing Championship Fight Night are former world title challenger Edner Cherry and outstanding prospects; Melbourne, Florida’s Joseph Elegele, Quebec, Canada’s Mikael Zewski, Detroit’s J’Leon Love and Alabama’s Michael Finney.
